About the La Porte Lake Association

Protecting Stone Lake and Pine Lake through community action, environmental stewardship, and long-term preservation efforts.

A Legacy of Protecting Our Lakes

The La Porte Lake Association was formed in 1965 by local residents and businesses who recognized the importance of protecting the health and beauty of Stone Lake and Pine Lake. What began as a shared concern for water quality has grown into a long-standing commitment to preserving these lakes for recreation, wildlife, and future generations.

For decades, the Association has worked alongside local officials, environmental experts, and community members to address challenges affecting the lakes from water quality and invasive species to long-term environmental planning.

Our mission remains rooted in the same purpose today: to ensure that Stone Lake and Pine Lake continue to be safe, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone who depends on them.

Our Treatments

Protecting Stone Lake and Pine Lake requires ongoing treatment which the La Porte Lake Association works to maintain year-round.

Flood Management

Water level control has been a critical issue for both Stone Lake and Pine Lake. The Association worked closely with the Mayor’s office to help address and resolve longstanding flooding concerns affecting these lakes.
